Mildred Piccinnini specializes in original artwork. She has been an active and vital member of the art community for over 40 years. Her distinguished career highlights include many awards, prizes, honors, art exhibits and shows. Her unique innovative, approach has pioneered cultural awareness of art in the local Staten Island community and other New York City areas. Her philosophy is: "Art is an expression of life and love"Her career accomplishments include awards from: South Shore Artist Group, Staten Island Artists Federation Group, Staten Island Museum Award for Snug Harbor Fence shows, Conference House Shows, and Staten Island Institute of Arts and Sciences. Exhibits have been shown in group and individual formats at; Snug Harbor Cultural Center, Conference House, Staten Island Museum, Staten Island Zoo, Wolfs Pond Park, Staten Island Botanical Gardens, SOHO NYC, Central Park NYC, Staten Island Cable TV, as well as many others.
Her artwork has gained recognition for outstanding creativity, quality, and expression. Her approach is spontaneous. She works with a variety of mediums to include oil paint, water paint, and mixed medium. Mildred donated artwork and time to help children with disabilities at various charity events.
Mildred Piccinnini is affiliated with many prestigious Art Groups on Staten Island. She is now currently serving as Vice President for Staten Island Artist group and membership with South shore Artist Group, Federation Artist Group, and the Staten Island Institute of Arts and Sciences.
