Debra Weinmann-Schmidt

Debra Weinmann-Schmidt has always had an interest in art. As a child she took art lessons – sketching in charcoal/pastels and dabbling with paints right up until her early 20s. In 2002 she decided to explore art in more detail, and began taking classes at the Art Lab. She has also studied privately with various area artists.

Debbie's first love is oil painting, but she has experimented with Pen and Ink washes, Watercolor and Monotype (prints). Her focus is creating Victorian style paintings, landscapes, garden scenes, seascapes, florals and portraiture. Debbie has a love of nature and its beauty.

Debbie is a member of the Staten Island Artists’ Association, the Artists’ Federation, and a founding member of the Odyssey Gals Art Group. She has exhibited her work at the Perking Latte Café, the Muddy Cup, the Art Lab Gallery, the Broome Street Gallery and on Staten Island Community Television. Debbie’s work hangs in a number of private collections.
